Call of Duty Black Ops Playthough Part 2

Ok, sorry this took so long everyone, I recently switched computers and have been re-installing programs for the past while, so here's the next part of my Black Ops playthough update.

So, since I only rented Black Ops I took it back to the store a while back, but I'll tell you what I did before then.  I beat the game twice, once on Recruit, and once on Normal, and I must say it had one of the better Call of Duty story lines I've encountered yet.  I did however think that it was still a bit lacking.  There is a lot, and when I say a lot I mean A LOT of language in that game and A LOT of blood and gore.  I'd even go as far to say that it was a bit excessive.  I won't spoil it for anyone but I will say this, there is only one major plot twist in the whole entire game, which was rather disappointing for me, but I guess not everyone cared that much.
Next I went into a bit more depth with the multiplayer.  It seems to me that the mulitplayer is just an expanded and slightly improved version of Modern Warfare 2.  I'm not complaining, it was pretty good, but it just wasn't something I think I could really get obsessed over like some people... (Reiminator31).
The one game mode that I really got into though, was the Nazi Zombies.  It's not the same as Firefight but it was a nice change of pace.  I have to say my favorite map was 'five' which takes place in the pentagon.  You can only unlock this map by beating the game however, so don't freak out when it's not there at first.
All in all, I'd have to say that Black Ops was not as bad as I thought it would be, but it definitely wasn't all it was made out to be.  Nazi Zombies was a nice change of pace and is definitely unique, the muliplayer was just an MW2 Expansion more or less, and the Campaign was really disappointing.  All in all, Black Ops was the best Call of Duty yet!  I can now say I did my part, and tried both Call of Duty and Halo, and I've mostly made my derision.  However, I'm not going to tell you yet because you haven't red my Halo Reach review yet.  I will post it soon, so look out for it, until next time, Peace off!

Call of Duty Black Ops Playthrough part 1

Ok, so i started playing black ops last night.  The graphics were by far some of the best i've ever seen!  I started off by playing some classic Nazi Zombies.  Like I said before, the graphics are great, but Nazi Zombies is definitely lacking if you only play with one person.  I got immediately pwnd in the fourth or fifth round when I first played it, but I think I've almost got the hang of it now.  By the time I was done with Zombies, I had successfully set a personal record of lasting 9 rounds.  Not bad for a guy who hasn't played COD for like a year if you ask me.

Next, I moved on to some kind of half multiplayer game mode called Basic Training I think.  Essentially, it is the multiplayer from every other Call of Duty game, but rather than playing against real players online, you play against AI Bots.  The interesting thing about this game mode, is that in order to fill the teams, the game accesses your X-box Live friends list and selects randomly generated Gamertags to put on each team.  However, even though these characters have your friends gts, they are not controlled by that person in real life.  I played several rounds of this game mode.  By the end of it I had won 9 games and lost 5.  I lost the 5 all consecutively, so I like to think I got better as I practiced.  BE WARNED!  You can rank up in this game type HOWEVER, your rank and unlocked items will NOT be transfered over to actual multiplayer matchmaking!  I myself have not played the actual multiplayer game type yet, but I intend to soon.

In addition to Nazi Zombies and Basic Training, I also discovered a hidden game type.  If anyone reading this is familiar with the Indi Game, "I made a game with Zombies in it" you will recognize this game mode as a similar style.  If you have not heard of or played, "I made a game with Zombies in it", you can download the free trial game from the X-box live marketplace.  This mode is more or less Nazi Zombies from a birds eye view.  It is extremely addicting, (though not as much as it's counter-part, "i made a game with zombies in it") and will be sure to keep you entertained for a long time.  Now, some of you may be asking, "well, how do I unlock it?".  Well, it is rather simple.  While on the main menu screen where you will receive the option to play campaign, Zombies, or Mulitplayer, repeatedly press the LT and RT buttons.  This will cause the character from who's perspective you are viewing the world at the time to break free of the chair he is strapped into, and will allow you to walk about the room in which you are in.  Make your way out of the area with the chair and the televisions, and find the Computer sitting on a desk.  There should be an option to press X.  Do so and you will be brought to a screen from what appears to be an old arcade game.  The screen will say, "Insert Coin".  Just wait until the game loads, you do not have to do anything here.  Once the game loads, you will be given a difficulty option.  Choose the one that suits your style of play and skill level, and kill some zombies!

For a more detailed description, please visit www.achievementhunter.com and view the video tutorial by my buddies Geoff and Jack.  They should be able to help you out.  Also, while you are visiting the Achievement Hunter website, be sure to check out all of their videos, especially the Halo: Reach Fails of the Week.  Also, feel free to transfer over to their mother site, www.roosterteeth.com or their sister (or brother or whatever) site, www.redvsblue.com and check out some of their other cool videos and merchandise.

Lastly, I started to play through the Campaign of Black Ops on the "Recruit" difficulty to start out.  I warn you in advance, there is a lot of strongly abusive language even in the first level (that's as far as I got), as well as intense blood and gore.  This may add to the realism of the game, but you may want to clear the children out of the room before you play.  (Reiminator31 that means you too!)

Well that's it for now, thanks for reading, and I'll be back with Part 2 of my Call of Duty Black Ops playthough next time.  Peace off everyone!

Call of Duty Blackops

Well, Call of Duty Black-ops came out today.  I rented it.  I haven't played it yet, but all I can say is that I hope it's not as much of a disappointed as MW2.  I'll let you guys know what I think of it after I play it.
